My Favourite Reads This Year (and my favourite sidekick - my Duo Collective Case)
We’re all told to practise self-love and self-care, and for me, reading is exactly how I do it. If possible, every day I carve out at least 30 minutes to get excited, intrigued, scared, or hopeful—lost in one of my favourite indulgences: a really good book.
Recently, my favourite reads have been:
🌱 The Healing Power of Plants – another happy indulgence, and apparently, I have way too many of, according to the hubby 😅.
💛 Do Something for Nothing by Joshua Coombes – a beautiful reminder that even the simplest acts of kindness—acknowledging someone, having a chat, or giving a fresh haircut—can change the way the world sees them, and how they see themselves.
😊 The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku – a man who endured so much yet still considered himself lucky. Tears, smiles, and a whole lot of inspiration all wrapped up in one book.
🔍 The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides – fiction at its finest: twisty, clever, and absolutely page-turning.
🏡 The Housemaid by Freida McFadden – secrets, suspense, and chaos I couldn’t put down.
And here’s the little luxury that makes my reading habit even more enjoyable: my Duo Glasses Case. Switching between reading glasses, sunnies, or long-distance specs is now effortless. Two pairs in one case—no scratches, no fumbling, just smooth transitions. Honestly, it’s a game-changer.
Are you a bookworm too? Do you lean towards fiction or non-fiction, or are autobiographies your go-to? I’m always on the lookout for firm favourites, so if you’ve read any gems this year, I’d love your recommendations!
