My Story

Kia ora & Hi, I’m Shona 👋

I’m a Kiwi-born Aussie with a love for life, adventure, and meeting new people, and hearing the stories that have made them who they are..... and shopping, let's not forget shopping.

Like many women, I juggle a full and active life but I've learned that I function best when I make time to recharge. Give me a cup of tea and a good book, a solo movie date, a quiet day on the beach with the sun on my face and the sound of the waves in the background, or an afternoon wandering the aisles of a homewares store, book store or plant shop and I'm a very happy human. Life's all about balance, right?

Like most mum's family is at the heart of everything I do. I’m a proud mum to three amazing daughters, Kylie, Amy, and Grace, and an incredibly lucky grandma to seven energetic, funny and occasionally cheeky grandchildren who help keep me young at heart. I’m also married to my biggest cheerleader, lovingly nicknamed Brown Sugar, (it's an inside joke) who’s always encouraged me to “have a go.” So here I am, embracing new adventures, learning as I go, and proving that sometimes the best things happen when you stop overthinking and simply take the leap.

The Story Behind Shona & Co Collective

If you’ve ever found yourself rummaging through your bag, juggling three different glasses cases (sunnies, reading specs, distance glasses…) only to open the wrong one first – you’ll know the struggle of finding the right pair is real.

So in 2021, the idea for The Duo Glasses Case was born: a smart, stylish solution that keeps two pairs of glasses safe in one neat pouch. No more rummaging, no more handbag chaos and less bulk – just simplicity that looks good. Though there were similiar cases on the market, nothing floated my boat, they lacked personality & style, were flimsy and didn’t live up to their hype.

After months of trialling, testing and perfecting prototypes, our first collection launched in 2022. Since then, we’ve been designing new prints to make everyday life a little easier (and a lot more stylish). Our prints are a little bit quirky, fierce & a little bit fun. We hope you find one that suits your personality and style.
